WE ARE INVESTIGATING PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE OF THE ŠKODA ROOMSTER 1.2
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A customer brought a Skoda Roomster 1.2 to the workshop with a problem starting the engine and the engine fault warning light (MIL) was on. In addition, the computer also showed error codes related to the accelerator pedal control unit.
SOLUTION:
This is a known issue affecting Fabia II and Roomster models with engine code CGPA. The cause is likely a fault in the throttle control unit.
Check the production date on the throttle control unit. If the production date is before 6. 12. 2012, replace the unit. This should fix the error.
