Exhaust Noise
The customer reported increased exhaust system noise in a Citroën C1 1.0, model year 2005. We detected the issue only once during acceleration, but could not determine the cause of the noise.
1. The problem on the Citroën C1 vehicle has been detected from the start of production until 05/01/06.
2. The noise is caused by the attachment of plates in the rear silencer, which resonates between 1,500-2,000 rpm. Check the rear silencer to see if it has spot welds at the locations marked in the image. If it does not have them, replace it. Verify the repair with a test drive.
