A technician describes an issue with a 2007 Ford Mondeo 1.8 TDCi. The engine loses power, resulting in a lack of engine power and black smoke from the exhaust. The engine warning light also illuminates. The technician suspected a fault in the engine’s air-fuel mixture system but couldn’t find the cause.
The customer describes an annoying noise coming from the front of their 2014 Ford S-Max while driving. The noise is similar to a grinding sound. During a road test, the noise is confirmed, but the cause cannot be found in the workshop.
A customer brought in a 2003 Ford Ka 1.6, which was emitting blue smoke from the exhaust pipe. Upon inspection, the mechanic found that the air filter was saturated with engine oil, leading to suspicion of a mechanical engine failure. However, standard mechanical checks did not reveal any major faults in the engine components.
A 2018 Ford Focus 2.0 Diesel experienced a lack of engine power. The engine malfunction indicator light (MIL) also illuminated. Additionally, the owner reported a whistling sound during acceleration. The technician inspected the engine compartment but couldn’t find any faults in the hoses that could cause the reported issues.
A customer brought their vehicle in for service due to a non-functioning windshield washer nozzle. The nozzle is not adjustable, so it was completely replaced, but the same issue persists despite the replacement.
