Door Open Warning
On a 2016 Kia Sportage, the door open warning is displayed even though all doors are closed. What could be the cause?
1. The error occurs due to water intrusion into the rear door lock cable connector, causing corrosion.
2. Remove the inner lining of the rear door. Check if the mentioned connector corrosion has occurred. If necessary, replace the rear door lock mechanism. Using a repair kit, install a water drainage channel on the rear door guide. Repeat the process on the other side as well. This should resolve the issue.
