Check engine light on, related to exhaust gas recirculation
Stored error codes are associated with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. The technician has checked the EGR, which appears to be functioning normally.

The described issue affects Lexus CT models up to 20.07.2012. The EGR valve cable plug is not properly installed, causing connection interruptions and consequently improper functioning of the EGR valve.
2. Install a modified new EGR valve. Adjust it by removing the insulation tape from the wiring (figure 1). Leave the wire with the plug longer to compensate for engine vibrations. Place the insulation tape as shown (figure 2). To complete the repair, it will be necessary to reprogram the engine control module (ECM) with the manufacturer’s upgraded software.
