Power loss and error codes (P0405, P1461)
Upon ignition, a check engine light appears, indicating an engine malfunction. Two different error codes (P0405 and P1461) were stored in the system. These codes relate to the exhaust gas recirculation system, which we examined closely, but no blockages were visible.
1. The same issue occurred in the 5008 model with engine code DW10FD and transmission code ML6C, caused by an inadequate design of the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Therefore, it is necessary to install a modified exhaust system assembly (figure 1.1.).
2. To successfully complete the repair, the engine control module must be reprogrammed with an updated version of the manufacturer’s software. Then perform a test drive to ensure the issue has been resolved.
