Problem description

Coolant Level Warning
The owner of a Seat Alhambra 2.0L TDI from 2011 reports coolant level warnings. After numerous pressure tests for coolant loss and visual inspections, the service technician cannot detect any signs of coolant leakage.

Solution

1. This issue is known to occur in Alhambra models with engine codes CFFA, CFFB, or CFFE. The cause of the problem is a porous cylinder head.

2. Check the production number on the cylinder head (see figure 2.1). If the production number is before V300, replace the cylinder head. This should resolve the issue.
