Difficulty starting the engine and engine warning light illuminated
The customer brought a Škoda Roomster 1.2 to the workshop with a problem starting the engine and the engine malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated. In addition, fault codes relating to the accelerator pedal control unit are also visible in the computer.
1. This is a known fault that affects Fabia II and Roomster models with engine code CGPA. The cause is likely a fault in the throttle control unit.
2. Check the production date on the throttle control unit. If the production date is before 6. 12. 2012, replace the unit. This should fix the error.
