In a 2012 Toyota Auris, a whistling-like sound appeared at a speed of 100 km/h. The sound was loudest when the vehicle reached operating temperature. Several components at the front of the vehicle were visually inspected, but the source of the noise could not be determined.
For a 2013 Toyota Auris, the customer reports issues or sticking of the steering wheel when turning or parking. Some time ago, the carpet under the steering wheel was wet after heavy rain, but we are not sure if the two issues are related.
The vehicle exhibits squeaking or noise coming from the front suspension when driving on poor road surfaces. The squeaking was audible during a road test, but the cause was not found in the workshop.
When the headlight switch is in the “AUTO” position, the left headlight does not work. Fault code 00979 is stored in the memory. The technician performed some basic checks of the electrical wiring and replaced the left bulb with the bulb from the right headlight, but the fault persists.
