Geotab GO9 - More than a vehicle tracking device
A small and powerful telematics device for vehicle tracking which allows data transfer in all EU countries and even wider.
It's providing tracking data every second (Active Tracking on our ProPlus plan) in near-real-time based on the curve algorithm patented by Geotab Inc. With its over-the-air updates the software and firmware are always up-to-date.
All data is stored in a database, which can be later used for detailed analysis, in order to improve driving safety and better protection of the drivers and vehicles. The web-based app allows users to set the data and settings in accordance with their needs through MyGeotab platform where you can set up numerous rules, zones and check real-time activity.

With its simple Plug&Play function the device can be easily installed in all vehicles even in the ones without OBDII. As the below described procedure hints, the device can be easily transferred between vehicles. It comes with a variety of different harnesses and adapters which transform the signal to the desired input/output.
Besides vehicle tracking, the device has additional features, such as alerts about accidents, driving style, data about safety distance, seat-belt usage and much more. At the same time it also stores all the engine data and data about tire pressure.

Recording VIN, odometer, temperature, accelerometer and seatbelt use helps managers audit vehicle use and identify both safe and risky driving habits.
Security communications
We use authentication, encryption, and message integrity verification for Geotab GO devices and network interfaces. Devices are individualized — each Geotab GO device uses a unique ID and non-static security key, making it difficult to fake a device’s identity. Over-the-air updates use digitally-signed firmware to verify that updates come from a trusted source.
Accident Detection & Notification
If an accident is detected, an email or desktop alert can be set up which provides the manager with the first notice of loss. If a suspected accident is detected, detailed forensic data will be automatically uploaded from the device to allow for forensic reconstruction of the event. What’s more, the GO9 also has the unique ability to detect in-vehicle reverse collisions.

Geotab offers countless rules customization based on the information that you require. When a specific rule is triggered you receive a notification via email, Pop-ups or into your system (web request). With such a feature you can track events and facts live and get instant information when a status changes.
Whether you are interested in getting an instant collision event notification, a vehicle leaving a specified zone/ perimeter, or a seat-belt off while driving alert you can set up a custom message and get notified immediately.
IOX Expansion & Integration
The Geotab platform can be extended even further, at any time, to provide added flexibility and integration with third-party providers. Choose any Add-On that suits your needs, such as satellite tracking, driver ID, hours of service (HOS), temperature tracking, camera systems, Garmin and more.
