Attractive motorcycling roads and safety

Warm and sunny days are marked by the rise of motorcycling and an increase in the number of motorcyclists on the roads. Unique motor vehicles offer a very special experience of spending spare time, traveling to discover the world and tourist spots, socializing and enjoying a fast ride. Motorcyclists love to use their steel horses for long-term or even monthly journeys, encompassing the diverse landscapes, towns and other tourist destinations in Europe.

In the last couple of years, two specific locations are popular in Europe. These are Brno in the Czech Republic and Grobnik in Croatia.

Both locations contain a cultural tradition of motorcycling, which attracts motorists from all over Europe.

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. It is one of the most beautiful historical capitals and one of the largest exhibition centers in Europe (ranked 23rd in the world). Worldwide, the city is also known for motorcycle racing, which has been traditionally hosted since 1930. One of the biggest and most famous motorcycle competitions that takes place in Brno is the World Grand Prix racing championship. This competition is particularly attractive for motorcyclists due to the nature of motor vehicles that participate in the competition. The Grand Prix Motorcycle Race relates to the top class racing circuit along the roads approved by FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), with racing vehicles being modified and transformed into special models that can not be bought by the general public or driven on public roads.

Second attractive destination is Grobnik in Croatia. Grobnik is a race track located near Rijeka in Croatia. From 1978 to 1990, the Yugoslavian Grand Prix championship of motorcycle racing was hosted at this location. For many motorcylists this place has a special place for their hearts. It represents the gathering place for all motorcycle enthusiasts. Travelling through Croatia offers a quality and refreshing journey, with lots of interesting places with cultural heritage and also an option of swimming in the beautiful Adriatic sea.

Traveling with a motorcycle offers a very special experience of discovering the world around you. It offers speed, freedom, contact with the environment, test of your abilities and an adrenaline rush. Despite many advantages, riding a motorcycle also represents certain obstacles and dangers. 

Few things that motorcycle riders must be aware of, are:

1. Road and weather conditions.

The most dangerous period occurs in spring time, at the beginning of the motorist season. The asphalt surface is still cold and does not offer optimal adhesion of tires. Due to cold period, roads can be filled with impact caves, sand from the winter drips, puddles and other obstacles that represent danger for the motorcyle riders. The minimum depth of the tire is defined by law, but this does not mean, that the road will be safe if you use the right tires, or that you will not slip. Tires are also affected by age. Before traveling it is necessary to check weather and road conditions and pay a visit to the closest vulcanizer for tire check.

2. Theft of the vehicle

Motor vehicles are an extremely attractive target for burglars. They are often parked in open car parkings, which gives them a lot of options for transporting or stealing your vehicle without your knowledge.

3.  Road accidents and safety
