Electric vehicles are an inevitable future for worldwide traffic. Severe CO2 pollution and limited fossil fuel source is an important topic of telematics and fleet managers. In addition to the environmental point of view, fleet management is a major cost for the company. The good news is that electric vehicles (EVs) offer a solution to all the problems listed above. A GEOTAB survey showed that 89% of all fleet companies of 25 or more vehicles will completely replace all their vehicles with EVs by 2030. More and more electric cars on the road will help improve the quality of air in large cities, which will lead to many health benefits for people living there. EVs will also help combating ever-increasing fuel prices and reducing fleet maintenance costs. Another positive change will happen on the costumer satisfaction level, as more and more costumers report, they enjoy driving with EVs more than fuel powered engines. But despite the many advantages of electric vehicles, the complete transition from fossil fuels to electric power will last for several years, if not decades. The results of the British Geotab survey are shown on the infographics below: Original article: https://www.geotab.com/blog/going-all-electric/
