Autodata has released updates across 400 VAG Group model variants for manual and double clutch (DCT) transmissions. The transmission data covers:

• 5/6/7 speed manual and
• Double Clutch (DCT) transmissions, in 2WD and 4WD/AWD variants.

In the coming months, car service technicians can expect more vehicles in the workshops. This is mainly refering to the vehicles parked up and little used over the last perios, or whose regular checks are past their original due date. 

Due to a sharp increase in the volume of deliveries in recent months, Autodata also recorded a 19% increase in requests related to LCV service.

Key spring servicing operations:

1. Air conditioning checks, as long-term parked vehicles attract moisture, which affects the condition of rubber seals. In the Autodata air conditioning module you will find all the information and electrical diagrams to help with service and repair. 
   
2. Battery checks and replacement, as cold weather and stationary vehicle impair battery performance. For vehicles that are mostly stationary during the winter, early battery replacement is recommended. All information on disconnecting and reconnecting the battery can be found in the Autodata Battery Module.
   
3. Inspection and replacement of Windscreen wipers that have cracks and signs of degradation, which occured under cold conditions. It is recommended to replace the wiper blades at least once a year or when the blades no longer come into contact with the windscreen surface.
4. Wheels & tyres checks, as inadequate tire pressure affects the increased wear of the tires and can also cause damage to the internal structure. When inspecting vehicles, check that your customers' tires are safe and that their geometry is correct. The Autodata wheel alignment module includes detailed information on the appropriate inclinations, heights and adjustment procedures, while the tire pressure monitoring system modules advise on the correct pressures for each wheel size and specific procedures for resetting the TPMS systems.
   
5. Suspension inspection for vehicles driving often over the cracks, as well as for vehicles that have been standing for a long time. In such casees the damage to the suspension can also arise as a consequence  to cracks and corrosion.
